The 30 year old Greek international moves to the Giallorossi for a fee that could rise to €1.5 million, and will provide competition to Ashley Cole for the left back slot.
“A.S. Roma announces that it has signed from Olympiacos Football Club outright for the rights to the player José Holebas, for a fee of €1 million,” a statement read on the club’s official website.
“The agreement provides for the payment of a fee variable, up to a maximum of a bonus €0.5 million for performance-related goals.
“The player signed a three year contract, with his deal expiring on the 30th of June 2017.”
Holebas becomes the third Greek player in this current Roma backline, following from Vasilis Torosidis and Kostas Manolas.
