Sampdoria may turn to Napoli defender Miguel Britos as a replacement for star centerback Shkodran Mustafi if he leaves the club.
The 29 year old Uruguayan international has been linked with an exit from the Azzurri this summer, and there is interest from abroad as well as from Serie A.
Tuttomercatoweb report that Sampdoria see Britos as a suitable low-cost replacement for the German international Mustafi should he leave the club.
Given Britos’ contract expires next year and Napoli’s willingness to sell, it is believed that only a nominal fee would be needed to secure his services.
Lazio have also been accredited with interest in the central defender, and may make a move for him.
Britos scored one goal in 22 appearances in all competitions for the Partenopei last season.
