Sassuolo and Atalanta have joined Parma in the hunt for Napoli midfielder Walter Gargano.
The 30 year old Uruguayan international enjoyed a successful loan spell at Parma, but the two clubs are unable to agree a deal to keep Gargano permanently at the club so far.
Sportmediaset report that Sassuolo and Atalanta are looking for an experienced central midfielder and Gargano is one of the targets that fits the bill.
They are hoping to pounce on Parma’s hesitancy to complete the deal, and bring the midfield pocket rocket to their club.
The Uruguayan is surplus to requirements by Napoli boss Rafa Benitez and is expected to leave the club this summer.
