Former Leicester City midfielder Robbie Savage believes Mario Balotelli will bring new excitement to Liverpool and thinks Brendan Rodgers will be able to mould the striker into a better player.
The 24-year-old is on the verge of completing his move to the Reds from AC Milan for a transfer fee of around €20 million and Savage is confident that Rodgers can tame the Italian international in the same way he managed to partially get Luis Suarez under control in order to produce good performances for the Anfield outfit.
Savage spoke to the Mirror about Balotelli’s move to Liverpool and expressed his approval of the team’s decision to bring the talented striker back to the Premier League.
“One thing that is certain is that life will definitely not be boring at Anfield with Balotelli playing for Liverpool,” said the 39-year-old.
“Plus, after Rodgers turned Suarez into a €94 million player, who knows if he may or may not be able to do the same with Balotelli?”
