This time on Serie A Kit Watch we hop across the water to Sardinia as we bring you a closer look at the latest Cagliari kits.

The kits will once again be provided by Kappa, who are using the same template for all of their Serie A clubs this season and that is something I won’t complain about as the template is a good one.

The home kit features the traditional half and half design with the primary colours being red and navy blue, split vertically down the centre of the shirt.

The sleeve on the red side of the shirt will be navy blue and vice versa. As with the other Kappa shirts this season, the neck incorporates a combination of a red and blue v-neck design with a navy blue insert.

The Kappa logo and club crest appear quite high up the shirt, more so on the shoulder area than on the chest.

The new Cagliari away kit is one of my favourite in Serie A this season. I love a simple yet elegant design and this is exactly that.

The kit is primarily white, with red and navy application throughout; most notably a thin strip stretching along each shoulder panel.

Each sleeve cuff will be coloured, one navy and one red to further incorporate the club’s traditional colours.

The most outstanding element of the shirt is the replacement of the conventional club crest; instead there will be the inclusion of the Sardinian Coat of Arms. This is a feature present in a lot of Serie A kits this season, and not only those produced by Kappa, as seen in the AC Milan home shirt.

The third kit is all red in a move that I fail to understand.

When a club release an away or alternate shirt that has a common primary colour to the home shirt, I fail to grasp the concept behind it, but, as far as shirts go it’s quite a nice one I suppose.

The normal club crest makes a return and each sleeve cuff will be navy blue, as will a small panel behind the Kappa logo.
