Shakhtar Donetsk attacker Douglas Costa has revealed that he would love to follow in his idol Ronaldinho’s footsteps and represent AC Milan in Serie A.

The 23-year-old has also admitted that he is ready for a bigger challenge in his career, whilst thanking the Ukrainian outfit for a wonderful time.

“If a big club like Milan presents an offer then I would take it immediately,” he stated in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I’m grateful to Shakhtar for everything they have given me, and if I stay, I will continue to give 100 per cent for this club; but I think I’m ready for a bigger challenge.

“Follow in the footsteps of Ronaldinho to Milan? Who wouldn’t like to repeat the same feats as Dinho,” said the Brazilian.

When asked about Rossoneri striker Mario Balotelli, the former Gremio forward had positive words.

“What can I say about him? He’s one of those players so strong that there is no need to even speak about him. He’s a champion!” he concluded.

The Diavolo are reportedly interested in securing a 25 million move for the player who is skeptical about his future in Ukraine following political conflicts in the region.

In 170 appearances for Shakktar in all competitions, Costa has registered 33 goals including five in European cup competitions.
