Torino winger Alessio Cerci has denied posting the tweet confirming his move to Spanish champions Atletico Madrid.

The Italian international has been heavily linked with a move away from Toro, with Los Colchoneros among many clubs rumoured to be interested.

Speaking to Sky, Cerci denied posting the tweet saying that someone must have “hacked” his account.

“I absolutely did not post that tweet,” he said. “I was playing Playstation with my team-mates.

“Someone must have hacked into my account.

“I got so many phone calls, I didn’t know what was going on; I never wrote anything like that, it wasn’t even me who deleted it!

“I will take legal action to find out who it was.

“Nobody knows what will happen, but at the moment I’m a Torino player.”

It is also worth mentioning that Cerci has made 73 appearances for the Granata thus far, scoring 21 goals and making 24 assists in the process.
