Torino star Alessio Cerci will reportedly joined Spanish champions Atletico Madrid ahead of completing a medical.

The 27-year-old Italian has been linked with a departure from Turin all summer having been a transfer target for various big clubs across Europe, including Arsenal and AC Milan.

According to a report from Tuttomercatoweb.com, Torino have already agreed to a deal with Atletico Madrid pending a medical, with Cerci said to have requested the transfer.

Atletico, who continue to revamp their squad after losing key players in Diego Costa and David Villa, is expected to complete a loan deal for Cerci with the option to purchase the Italian at the end of next season for a fee in the range of €20 million.

Cerci will look to repeat a successful year after coming off an impressive season with Torino scoring 13 goals and registering 12 assists in 37 appearances.
