Roma defender Vasilis Torosidis has stated his intent to complete all three seasons included in his recent contract extension with the club.
The Greece international had been linked elsewhere during this transfer window, but pledged his future to the club by signing an extension to his contract.
Speaking at the press conference which followed the announcement, Torosidis said, “My future is with Roma. I signed up for three years.
“I want to remain in Rome because it’s a great team which has big goals and I want to win something in this team.”
The Giallorossi finished second in last season’s Serie A, and Torosidis thinks the gap has closed between Roma and champions Juventus.
“We have a strong team and want to win the championship. There is less difference between us and Juventus.”
