Roma captain Francesco Totti is willing to make the ultimate sacrifice in order to help his club win Serie A this season.

The 37-year-old striker is still enjoying his football and is adamant that the Giallorossi have what it takes to wrestle the title from rivals Juventus.

In an interview with Roma Radio, the 2006 World Cup winner said, “I’m getting older but football is still a passion and I enjoy it.  It has changed over time as now its more physical and less technical.

“We will try to have as great a season as last year and achieve great things.  I still have the desire otherwise I wouldn’t be here.”

When asked what he would do in order to win the league title, Er Pupone said, “I’ll give up ice cream for the year.”

Despite his age, Totti remains an integral part of coach Rudi Garcia’s team and the former Italy international is second only to Silvio Piola in the Serie A all time top scorers list.

The ‘fantasista’ is currently on 235 goals in 561 appearances, having remained in Rome for the entirety of his career.
