Former Juventus striker Gianluca Vialli believes that the Old Lady’s newest signings will be a big help in the Serie A, but won’t make a difference when it comes to Champions League play.

The Bianconeri have brought in Patrice Evra, Alvaro Morata and Kingsley Coman on permanent deals this summer, while also landing Roberto Pereyra on a season-long loan from Udinese, but Vialli insists that it will take more than just these players for Juve to see success in Europe.

Vialli spoke to Sky Sport Italia about the summer signings Juventus have made thus far, while also commenting on the arrival of Massimiliano Allegri as coach after the departure of Antonio Conte.

“Allegri is very good, he’s different from Conte, but he’s more relaxed,” said the 50-year-old. “I think he may do well with the team after three years of having Conte as coach.

“All of the purchases Juve have made seem like they are all good purchases, but only for the Serie A. I don’t think they can make such a difference in the Champions League.”
