Arturo Vidal’s move to Manchester United edges ever closer as reports suggest that the English club has reserved the number 7 shirt for the 27-year-old ahead of his transfer from Juventus.

United have apparently already completed preliminary medical checks on the Chilean and details over a deal to sign him from the Old Lady are close to being finalised.

Chilean newspaper La Tercera reports that manager Louis van Gaal insisted that prestigious No. 7 goes to Vidal and wants the deal to be completed quickly with PSG also reported to be interested in the midfielder.

The shirt has been graced by club legends George Best, Bryan Robson, Eric Cantona, David Beckham and more recently Cristiano Ronaldo and is currently up for grabs after Antonio Valencia vacated it to take back his No. 25 shirt.
