Inter defender Nemanja Vidic insists the Nerazzurri can still improve after an impressive 2-0 pre-season win over Roma in the United States.

Former Manchester United captain Vidic combined with another new Inter signing, former Roma wing-back Dodo, to score his first goal for the Nerazzurri as they took the lead in the first half, with Yuto Nagatomo sealing the win against the Giallorossi in the second half.

“We were outstanding in defence,” the Serbian told Inter Channel after the game.

“My goal? The coach [Walter Mazzarri] told me to attack the near post because Dodo puts in some beautiful balls. And that’s how it turned out.

“We can still improve if we work hard.”

Inter’s pre-season tour to the US has been successful with draws against Real Madrid and Manchester United followed by the win against Roma, and Mazzarri’s men will fly back to Italy today for a week of intensive training before another friendly game against Eintracht Frankfurt on August 10th.
