Zenit Saint Petersburg boss Andre Villas Boas has denied any interest in signing Inter midfielder Fredy Guarin.
The 28 year old Colombian international has been linked with the Russian giants in recent weeks, along with Manchester United.
However Villas Boas told the media in a press conference after their 2-0 win over Amkar on Friday that his side have not made a move for the ex-Porto star.
“There is nothing true about [the rumours regarding] Guarin,” Villas Boas said.
“Someone pulled this thing out and it quickly became viral. Nobody at Zenit has held talks with Guarin.”
Guarin is expected to be moved on by the Nerazzurri before the end of the transfer window.
