Zenit St Petersburg are said to be closing in on a deal for Inter midfielder Fredy Guarin.
Guarin who only in March put pen to paper on a three year deal with Inter has been heavily linked with an exit from the San Siro this summer, with Manchester United rumored to be showing interest in the Colombian midfielder as an alternative option to their pursuit of Arturo Vidal.
According to a report from Rai Sport, the 28-year-old’s agent Marcelo Ferreyra has confirmed contact with Zenit suggesting his client could join the Russian Premier League side before the close of the summer transfer window.
Zenit are expected to table an offer around €12 million should Guarin decide to swap Italy for Russia.
Guarin joined Inter from Porto during the 2012 winter transfer window, managing eight goals and 16 assists in 69 Serie A appearances with the Nerazzurri.
