AC Milan have completed the signing of Giacomo Bonaventura from neighbouring Serie A side Atalanta.

The 25 year-old was lined up as an alternative to Jonathan Biabiany after the deal for the winger collapsed.

Sky Sport Italia have broken the news that Bonaventura will join AC Milan from Atalanta for a fee of €7m.

Bonaventura is expected to sign a five-year contract shortly and will have his medical in the coming hours.

The former Italian Under-21 international can play as an attacking midfielder or on the wing if needed.
