Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri says his side face a tough night in their Champions League game against Atletico Madrid at the Vicente Calderon on Wednesday night.

The Bianconeri will be looking to follow up thier 2-0 home win over Malmo on Match Day One with another three points in Madrid as they look to reach the round of 16 knock-out phase.

“It’s not just about the result on Wednesday, I want my team to perform well and show we are a good side,” Allegri told reporters at his pre-match press conference.

“Juventus need to do well in the Champions League, it’s in the club’s DNA. We have to do our best and our goal is to qualify for the next round.

“It’s going to be a very difficult game. They have scored a lot of goals from set-pieces and they are a very technical team that put you under a lot of pressure.

“Atletico reflect the character of their coach [Diego Simeone], they’re full of determination and they like to attack.”
