Carlos TevezAtalanta hosted Juventus at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia on match day five of Serie A and went down 3-0, mainly thanks to a Carlos Tevez double.

A goal in each half from the Argentinian striker and a debut goal from Alvaro Morata ensured the champions have five wins from five and no goals conceded.

Tevez’s first  goal gave the visiting champions the lead after a high tempo start which saw both sides squander possession on a regular basis.

The goal came after 37 minutes when El Apache combined with Fernando Llorente, who found wingback Stephen Lichsteiner whose cross into the six yard box found Tevez to tap in from three yards out.

The home side always looking to break wasted possession often whenever in the final third and went in at half time with only the one goal down.

The second half continued in similar fashion as the Bianconeri dominated possession but the Orobici were handed a lifeline when Giorgio Chiellini was adjudged to have fouled Salvatore Molina.

German Denis stepped up and his poor penalty was saved by Gianluigi Buffon, for which the home team paid the ultimate price. Just 20 seconds later, Juventus broke at the other and as Tevez squeezed a shot through the legs of defender Molina and past goalkeeper Marco Sportiello’s near post.

Atalanta huffed and puffed without to much invention but Juventus always looked in control.

One Spaniard replaced another as Llorente made way for Alvaro Morata. The young striker grabbed his debut goal when he nodded home a Roberto Pereya cross to cap off a comfortable win for La Vecchia Signora.
