Sassuolo have completed the signing of former Atalanta goalkeeper Andrea Consigli.
The Neroverdi had been forced to enter the transfer market after number one goalkeeper Gianluca Pegolo sustained a long-term injury.
Sassuolo confirmed the move on their official website, which is believed to be worth around €3 million.
Prior to the signing of Consigli, Sassuolo had been linked with a number of other Serie A goalkeepers, including Marco Storari of Juventus and Michael Agazzi of AC Milan .
The move for the 27-year-old stopper had been heavily rumoured for the past week, with the final and official confirmation coming in these last 24 hours of deadline day.
