Inter midfielder Mateo Kovacic isn’t going anywhere anytime soon as the Italian side have rejected an approach from Barcelona.

The Croatian starlet, who signed for the Milan giants in January 2013, has slowly adjusted to life in Serie A after an initial difficult settling in period.

However, despite being a relative newcomer, Spanish giants Barcelona reportedly made a bid for the 20-year-old, according to Sky Sport Italia.

The Nerazzurri promptly dismissed the Blaugrana’s offer, clearly indicating their faith in the youngster’s ability.

Prior to signing for the 2010 Champions League winners, Kovacic spent three seasons with Dinamo Zagreb, where he won two league titles as well as the ‘Hope of the Year’ award, given to the nation’s best young player.
