Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that the attacking midfielder Tomislav Gomelt and striker Souleymane Coulibaly have joined Bari in Serie B.

Couilibaly was once touted as the ‘New Drogba’ after he caught the eye at the 2011 U17 World Cup when he scored nine goals in four games for the Ivory Coast.

Spurs confirmed the moves on the club’s official website with Gomelt joining the Galetti on a season-long loan and Coulibaly on a permanent basis.

Bari then subsequently confirmed that they have sent the 19-year-old Ivorian forward on loan to Lega Pro side Pistoiese.

He moved to Italy at the age of 13 and is a product of Siena’s youth setup before he joined Tottenham in 2013.

Coulibaly had a spell on loan at Grosseto in 2013 where he scored twice in 12 appearances and while he never played for Spurs in a competitive game, he did score two goals in a 7-1 win over Inter in the Nextgen tournament.

The 19-year-old defender Gomelt spent the 2012-13 season on loan at Espanyol where he made four appearances for their B team.

The Croatian also scored a hat-trick in the Nextgen win over the Nerazzurri.
