AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi has revealed that he’s satisfied with the signings made by his club during the summer transfer window and believes that the Diavolo are on the right track to a top finish this season.

The Rossoneri brought in a number of new players this summer, including striker Fernando Torres from Chelsea after selling Mario Balotelli to Liverpool, and the 77-year-old is confident that the San Siro outfit can make up for their poor run last term, especially after their impressive 3-1 win over Lazio to open up the new Serie A campaign.

Berlusconi spoke to Milan Channel while meeting with the players and staff on Friday about his hopes for the 2014-15 season, while also commenting on AC Milan’s objective to win back the fans by continuing down the right path.

“The whole atmosphere surrounding this team has changed,” said the Milan chief. “Our first victory was enough to show all the hard work and determination we’ve been putting in.

“We do this in order to make sure that our fans are awakened from the negative situation they were put in last season.

“Only I have received over a hundred letters of greetings, congratulations and well wishes. Congratulations also regarding our new arrivals, which we are all happy with.

“I would say that we’re on the right track and that now the only thing we have to do is persevere.”
