Cagliari coach Zdenek Zeman says that Roma legend Francesco Totti ‘is like a son to me’ ahead of their meeting this weekend.
The Czech spoke to reporters about the upcoming clash with former side Roma, and talked about a range of issues from Giallorossi icon Francesco Totti to new Italy coach Antonio Conte.
“Roma are one of the many teams that I coached, they are very strong,” Zeman said at the recent press conference.
“If I had not seen the match against CSKA Moscow [5-1], I would have been more relaxed.
“Totti? He’s like a son to me. De Rossi? I have not heard from him since the sacking.
“I won’t mention names, the problems were within the club. We did not think the same way.
“Italian football? Limiting foreigners would be a nice step forward to give more space to young players.
“Conte? His impact is very positive, he has a lot of personality.
“Cagliari? We are doing an adventure, we can improve. We are young, the idea is to forge a team on the field.”
