Cagliari have completed the signing of Brazilian attacking midfielder Joao Pedro from Portuguese Primeira Liga side Estoril, with Uruguayan midfielder Matias Cabrera moving in the opposite direction.
The 22-year-old started his career at Atletico Mineiro before moving to Palermo in 2010 but he then moved on to Santos in 2012 having played only one game for the Rosaneri.
The former Brazil Under-17 international spent a year with the Peixe before his move to Estoril, and Cagliari coach Zdenek Zeman has now added the player to his Rossoblu squad, as confirmed on the club’s official website.
28 year-old Cabrera joined Cagliari in January 2013 from Nacional in his home country and moves to Estoril in exchange.
