Serie B outfit Carpi have announced the signature of AC Milan goalkeeper Gabriel on a loan deal.
The 21-year-old Gabriel has found himself falling down the pecking order at Milan after the recent arrivals of Diego Lopez and Michael Agazzi and the player is keen to secure first team football this season.
A short statement on Carpi’s official website announced that the Brazilian had joined the club on a temporary basis but did not reveal the duration of the loan, though it is believed to be for the entire season.
Gabriel has made just seven Serie A appearances for the Rossoneri but has been capped once by Brazil in a 3-0 win over Sweden immediately after the 2012 Olympic Games where the youngster was part of the Brazil squad that secured a silver medal.
