Cuadrado will remain with Fiorentina and sign new deal

Colombian midfielder Juan Cuadrado will remain with Fiorentina this summer, despite rumours of a move to La Liga or the English Premier League.

After a sensational World Cup, the Colombian international had been linked with a move to Barcelona or Manchester United.

According to Tuttomercaweb.com, Cuadrado is set to sign a new contract with the club next week.

Writing on his twitter account, Cuadrado spoke of his happiness to stay with the club.

“I will stay with great enthusiasm and the certainty to bring Fiorentina up to greater successes along with my teammates.”

During the World Cup the 26-year old had four assist and one goal, helping his nation to the quarterfinals where they were defeated by Brazil.
