Cesena are weighing up whether to make a move for ex-Besiktas striker Hugo Almeida, who is currently a free agent.
The 30 year old Portuguese international left the Turkish giants at the end of his contract in June, and is yet to find a club.
Tuttomercatoweb report that Cesena have had ongoing contact with the towering striker’s entourage, and will have further discussions this week.
The club attempted to sign Roma striker Marco Borriello in the summer to no avail, and Almeida has similar characteristics to the Italian international.
Almeida netted an impressive 47 goals in 108 appearances for Besiktas during his time in Turkey, and his deal would represent something of a coup for the minnows.
