Chievo coach Eugenio Corini believed that Antonio Cassano’s first goal for Parma saw the momentum swing in the Flying Donkeys’ latest defeat.

The Flying Donkeys lost 3-2 to the Crociati, and although Parma made a comeback, Corini said that Chievo control of the game for the majority of it.

“The matches cannot be handled but the feeling was that the team was in control,” Corini told Sky Sport Italia.

“Instead we conceded the equaliser and also we paid the consequences on the mental level.

“Parma had understood our negative moment and quickly found two more goals. There is always work but the team had a good approach [and] a good spirit.

“We paid eight minutes after we conceded the equaliser. We were out of the match for eight minutes but what we did before and after [the goal] is important, and that gives me confidence for the rest of the season.”
