Torino could only manage a 0-0 draw with Club Brugge at the Jan Breydel Stadion on Thursday evening in the Europa League.

The Granata had goalkeeper Jean-Francois Gillet to thank as the Belgian pulled off a number of miraculous saves to deny the home side.

Gillet was called into action after just five minutes when to smother a through ball, with Felipe Gedoz rushing in.

Torino though, were dangerous as Matteo Darmian and Sanchez Mino both tested Mathew Ryan in the Belgian goal, before Mino sent Marco Benassi in on goal, but his touch let him down.

Once more Gillet came to the rescue of his team as he beat away an Oscar Duarte header from a corner. Victor Vazquez was next up to be denied by Gillet, as this time the goalkeeper saved the low shot with his feet.

The home side were on the front foot in the second period and really put Torino under pressure.

Gedoz was proving dangerous, as he saw one effort fly wide, before an Alessandro Gazzi tackle blocked another.

An unmarked Nikola Storm was the recipient of a Gillet denial as the Belgian goalkeeper produced another amazing save, from the striker’s header.

Then in the final moments Josef Martinez did have a chance to snatch the win for Giampiero Ventura’s men, but his shot was charged down.
