Atalanta coach Stefano Colantuono is convinced that his side put in a great display, despite falling to a 1-0 loss against Fiorentina.
La Dea were beaten by a Jasmin Kurtic strike, after loanee Richmond Boakye struck the post in the first half.
“The team gave a great performance. We played great football but still suffered.”, the 51-year-old told Sky Sport Italia.
“My team has fielded a lot of intensity, and I liked the team, if we continue to play like so then I will have no worries.”
This weekend’s game represents the first loss of the season for Atalanta, who had previously been occupying fourth place in the Serie A table.
