Juventus forward Kingsley Coman has revealed that he hopes to make around 20 appearances for the Old Lady during his debut season in Italy.

The 18-year-old has earned much acclaim after his impressive Serie A debut performance for the Bianconeri in their 1-0 season opening win over Chievo on Saturday and he admits that his main mission is to continue proving himself in order to hold a spot in Massimiliano Allegri’s squad.

Coman spoke to Le Parisien about his time with Juventus thus far and explained why new team-mate Paul Pogba had an influence on his decision to join the reigning Italian champions.

“When I arrived, I was told that I’d have enough chances to play if I was able to do well,” said the French youngster, who signed a five-year deal with Juve after leaving Paris Saint-Germain in July.

“The chance has already arrived, but it’s not about just one game. My objective to play in at least 15-20 games this season.

“I will aim for more in the future, but things are already going very well here.

“When the leaders of Juventus made me an offer and showed me their project, they had spoken to me about Paul Pogba.

“He’s a current example of how young people really have a chance here.”
