Southampton striker Graziano Pelle could receive a call from Italy coach Antonio Conte to represent the Azzurri thanks to his brilliant start to the season.
Pelle scored a brace against Newcastle on Saturday, playing a crucial role in the Saints 4-0 victory and his efforts could see him rewarded.
Tuttomercatoweb are reporting that Pelle could receive a call from Conte to represent Italy next month following the surprise call-up of Sassuolo striker, Simone Zaza.
He last represented Italy at the Olympics in Beijing in 2008.
Pelle joined Southampton from Feyenoord and has already scored three goals in four Premier League matches.
