Italy coach Antonio Conte hopes that Roma midfielder Alessandro Florenzi can repeat his goal celebration against Cagliari with the Azzurri in the future.
The former Juventus tactician was pleased to see the midfielder run to the stands to celebrate with his grandmother after scoring in the 2-0 victory over Cagliari.
“I think it was a nice gesture,” Conte told SportMediaset. “He is a genuine guy and full of good feelings.
“His gesture should be appreciated and I hope he can repeat it with the national team.
“A celebration like that warrants a yellow card, but in this case we can forgive him.”
The win saw the Giallorossi draw level on points with 2013-14 champions Juventus.
