Italy coach Antonio Conte believes that UEFA’s decision to include Roma as one of the host cities for Euro 2020 is an important acknowledgment for Italian football.
The Stadio Olimpico will host three group stage matches and a quarter-final encounter in 2020, and Conte believes that the selection will give added motivation to everyone in the Italian game.
“UEFA’s decision represents a precious acknowledgement for Italian football,” Conte stated to Vivoazzurro.it.
“It is a chance to grow and an important showcase for our movement.
“My work as CT and as the man responsible for the youth side can’t but be oriented to the future, with the objective of giving value to these youngsters that could be stars at Euro 2020.
“The chance to play a few matches at home at the Euros could give added motivation and incentives to all of us.”
