taly boss Antonio Conte says that he has received assurances from Andrea Pirlo that he will be available for international selection.
The midfielder has previously claimed that he would retire from the international game after the 2014 World Cup but it seems former Juventus boss Conte has changed his mind on the matter.
“Pirlo? He will be completely available for selection, he told me when we talked,” he told La Domenica Sportiva. “As for myself, I am a hard worker, a man who tries to convey his ideas about football.
“I am very passionate and do have a long history with one club but I want my players to be happy because they are in good hands.”
He added: “My squad will win together and we will lose together. I will soon speak with the players and explain some things and then we will get to work immediately because we have a lot of work to do.”
