Italian striker Mattia Destro is content with the way Roma’s season has begun in both Serie A and the Champions League.
The 23-year-old also revealed the importance of competition between players and spoke of his delight after receiving an international call-up for Italy, during the recent international break.
Speaking to Sky Sport Italia the forward further discussed a number of football issues about the team as well as the other teams that pose a threat in the race for the Scudetto.
“We are ready and the coach [Rudi Garcia] gives confidence to everyone,” Destro said.
“The championship will be full of twists because many clubs like AC Milan and Juventus have reinforced,” Destro said.
Destro is yet to open his account this season and will be hoping that changes when Roma face Cagliari at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday.
