Crotone midfielder Jacopo Dezi insists he is not getting too ahead of himself, despite scoring his first goal for Italy U21 against Cyprus.
The Azzurrini mauled the Cypriots 7-1 midweek in Abruzzo, with Dezi helping himself to a goal despite coming on as a substitute in the second half.
“I feel a great satisfaction, I am very happy, especially because we have reached the playoffs for the Euro’s,” Dezi told reporters.
“I’m twice as happy because my first goal arrived in Abruzzo, where I was born.
“[For Crotone] We have to win our first game, we will try to do it at home on Saturday and the public will give us a hand. We are ready.
“Against Latina we did not forfeit, we must continue to work hard and the results will certainly come. Carpi is a strong team, but we really want our first victory.”
