Luigi Di BiagioItaly Under-21 boss Luigi Di Biagio is adamant that his team must not underestimate Cyprus in their final Euro 2015 group stage match in Italy on Tuesday.

The tactician understands that his side are the favourites to secure the three points over their opponents, but still wants his players to remain on their toes in order to guarantee a place in the next round of the competition as well as take the top spot in Group 9 away from Belgium.

Di Biagio spoke during his pre-match press conference on Monday about what he expects to see from the Azzurrini and warned his players to avoid making things more difficult than they should be.

“On paper the match with Cyprus looks like a simple game, but we will have to be good to make sure we don’t complicate it,” said the 43-year-old, who led the Italy Under-21 team to an eventual 2-0 victory over Cyprus in the first meeting between the two sides despite a rocky start.

“We must win at all costs and we will try to close the game immediately, otherwise there is a risk that we may face a tougher time like we did in the first game.”
