Udinese captain Antonio Di Natale has expressed sympathy for his former club Empoli, and praised his partner in attack Luis Muriel.
Udinese defeated Empoli 2-0 at the Stadio Friuli on Sunday evening, with both goals scored by the veteran Di Natale. Colombian attacker Muriel had set up Di Natale’s first goal of the brace with an ingenious through pass int he crowded Empoli box.
“It was a difficult game, compliments to Empoli.” Di Natale told Sky. “Empoli is a great squad, and I feel sorry for them, but such is football.”
Speaking to the performance of Luis Muriel, Di Natale said, “Muriel is beginning to feel good, and he must find the confidence to be the champion he is.”
