Donadoni - ParmaParma coach Roberto Donadoni admits he made mistakes as his side fell to a 5-4 defeat at the hands of AC Milan.

Both teams finished the game with ten men and shared nine goals in what will no doubt be one of the most exciting games in Serie A this season.

Speaking to Mediaset after the game, Donadoni was quick to criticise the officials.

“There have been mistakes made by all, even the referee,” he began.

“Everybody has bad days, from captains to players to coaches, maybe even match officials.”

Donadoni proceded to give his players credit for the way in which they went about the game, despite coming out of it empty-handed.

“To score four goals against Milan is not easy,” the 51-year-old continued.

“We were caught out on occasion but these were mainly individual errors.

“I can’t fault the guys, they showed great spirit today and I liked what I saw from them, but we will need to improve in defence.”

Donadoni wasn’t finished with the match officials, however, as he went on to comment further on their performance regarding Filipe’s dismissal.

“The expulsion of Filipe? The error of the referee to give him a second yellow card was sensational.

He went on to reaffirm his happiness with the mentality of his players in defeat.

“Am I disappointed with the defeat? It was an important test of character, that was the real positive point of the evening and we will look to build on that.”
