Torino midfielder Omar El Kaddouri is upset over his penalty miss against Hellas Verona as he believes the Granata were deserving of a point from their 1-0 defeat to the Mastini.

The Granata had a chance to equalize late in the match but El Kaddouri had both his penalty and rebound attempt saved by Verona goalkeeper Rafael.

“Yes, sometimes you win playing badly and score goals more easily. With Verona, in my opinion, we had a good performance, but the ball did not go through in the goal as it’s supposed to,” he stated as reported by TorinoGranata.it.

“But we must pull ourselves up and think about the next game and if we perform like last night, the positive results will surely come.”

“The penalty? I have not looked at the images but I know I did not kick it well.

“Usually I look at the goalkeeper but this time I thought I’d kick [without] looking at him and it went wrong. I could’ve also scored on the rebound , but it did not go. I’m very sorry because the team deserved at least a draw.

“Pressure? There’s no pressure. The strikers know that we must score. [Fabio] Quagliarella and Amauri have scored in the past.

“We have started the season struggling to score but in my opinion , we’ll just go back to scoring goals like last season.”
