Highly renowned FIFA agent Giovanni Branchini revealed that Monaco’s Radamel Falcao was close to a move to Serie A giants Juventus.
The Colombian international instead joined Manchester United on a season long loan with an option to buy from the Ligue 1 side.
”Unfortunately the coup did not succeed,” Branchini said in an interview for Tuttosport.
”This was only because another party had made their way into the middle of the deal.
”I can assure everyone, Falcao was very close to joining Juventus.”
The 28-year-old will therefore be playing his club football in England for the first time but does miss out on a Champions League appearance for the fifth season running.
