Fiorentina front-man Khouma Babacar has revealed a strong understanding with fellow academy product Federcio Bernadeschi.
The Senegalese poacher scored Fiorentina’s only goal in a 1-1 draw with Torino with Bernadeschi coming on to make the vital assist.
“In the first half goalkeeper [Jean-Francois] Gillet was very good for Torino,” Babacar told Sky Sport Italia after the final whistle.
“We didn’t give up and eventually the goal came.
“I wish to dedicate my goal to the fans of Fiorentina and my last club Modena.”
Bernadeschi made his first appearance this season for the Viola and didn’t disappoint playing the ball in for Babacar to score.
“I have known [Bernadeschi] for seven years,” Babacar continued, “I knew he would deliver the ball into the penalty area.
“He’s a great player. We’re bothing trying to make our contribution for the team,” the 21 year-0ld concluded.
