Fiorentina striker Mounir El Hamdaoui is closing in on a move back to his homeland with Moroccan side Wydad Casablanca.
The 30 year old Moroccan international is surplus to requirements at the Viola, but could not find a suitable team to move to before the close of the transfer window.
Firenzeviola.it report that El Hamdaoui and his entourage have agreed a deal in principle with Wydad Casablanca and the only thing missing is Fiorentina’s consent.
The Viola are mulling over whether to wait until January to proceed with the sale of the forward, or whether they will just mutually terminate his contract now allowing him to join the Moroccan first division outfit immediately.
The striker spent last season on loan at Spanish side Malaga, but failed to make an impact only netting three times.
