Roma coach Rudi Garcia was impressed with the performance his team put on against CSKA Moscow in the UEFA Champions League.

The Giallorossi won 5-1 against the Russians in their Group E encounter and Garcia is confident that Roma can get a result in their next Champions League game against Manchester City.

“It was a great game [and] we have won three important points. A shame about the injuries. [F]or 75 minutes our play was beautiful and effective,” Garcia told the press.

“In the present, CSKA is not the weakest team in the group. For this I want to emphasize the great performance, it was not so easy to play well and win three points so easily.

“We started on the right foot [and] we are going to Manchester with confidence. We will play every game with an open view.”

Davide Astori and Juan Manuel Iturbe got injured during the game but Garcia is hoping that nothing serious has happened.

“Davide has suffered a knee sprain but both players will be checked over the next few hours. I hope that the problems are of little consequence,” Garcia concluded.
