Two-goal hero Gervinho insists that ‘Roma is my home’ after playing a big part in his side’s demolition of CSKA Moscow in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
The 27 year old Ivorian international capped off a great week with his performance, that included signing a new contract that will bind him to the club until 2018.
“I am happy, it was important to win and score in this game,” Gervinho told Mediaset Premium.
“Contract renewal? I’m happy. Roma is my home, I get along fine with the coach, the teams and the fans. Everyone behaves well with me.
“They talked about a renewal but I waited until the end of the World Cup. I feel yellow and red, I feel Roman!
“For me, the only goal is to do well with this shirt, we want to win in Europe and in the league.”
