Fredy Guarin wants a fresh start at Inter after failing to secure a move away from the Nerazzurri during the summer mercato, according to his agent.

Guarin joined Inter in January 2012, initially on loan from Porto, and became one of Inter’s most important players. However, since the club made him a permanent member of the team, Guarin’s performances have left fans questioning his commitment to Inter.

After the most recent transfer speculation, Guarin has stated he wants to focus on Inter and show fans the best is yet to come. Guarin’s agent, Marcelo Ferreyra, recently spoke to the media to outline his client’s desires.

“We hope for peace,” stated Ferreyra. “Fredy is not seeking a team in every transfer window.

“He is happy at Inter and now hopes to play in the league [Serie A].”

The Colombian has been a target of several teams during the past two transfer windows and Guarin nearly signed for Juventus in January 2014 in exchange for Mirko Vucinic. That deal eventually fell through at the eleventh hour, resulting in not only Guarin remaining with Inter, but with the player signing a contract extension.

Guarin has played 74 times for the Nerazzurri, scoring 10 goals and adding 10 assists during that period.
