Napoli captain Marek Hamsik has revealed his side want to redeem themselves after their shock 1-0 defeat to Chievo Verona on Sunday.
The Slovakian will face opponents Sparta Prague in the Europa League this evening with the fixture sparking personal memories.
“For me this game will be like a derby,” Hamsik told Sport.cz referring to his time with Slovan Bratislava as an academy player.
“Sparta Prague won the Czech League and domestic cup and managed to trouble Chelsea in this same competiton last season.
“They have a strong attack, particuarly [David] Lafata their captain. We will have to be careful,” the 27 year-old continued.
Napoli coach Rafa Benitez has been the subject of speculation regarding his future following the Serie A defeat to Chievo.
“We want to redeem ourselves. We always want to win,” Hamsik concluded.
