Udinese defender Thomas Heurtaux has praised his team’s quality after their tough 1-0 win over Napoli on Sunday.
The Zebrette played host to the struggling Partenopei and managed to earn all three points with a goal from Danilo midway through the second half and Heurtaux admits that the positive result has given the Stadio Friuli outfit a jolt of confidence.
Heurtaux spoke to the press after the win over Napoli about the difficulty Udinese overcame to land the victory and commented on the club’s progress since last season.
“It was not an easy game, we did well to react after the defeat we suffered against Juventus,” said the 26-year-old.
“These are three important points which have given us a lot of confidence going ahead.
“Are we stronger than last season? I don’t know, but we certainly have a lot of quality.”
Udinese will face off against Lazio next on Thursday at the Stadio Olimpico.
