Palermo coach Giuseppe Iachini believes that Sunday’s opponents, Inter, have the qualities to challenge for the Scudetto this season.
The Rosanero coach spoke ahead of the clash with the Milan giants at the Stadio Renzo Barbera on Sunday evening as his side look to bounce back from their defeat away to Verona last Monday.
“Inter have great quality, players with superb technique and are strong in all departments,” Iachini told reporters at the press conference ahead of Sunday nights game.
“We will be ready though, we have a clear game plan and have done well in the league so far without picking up the points our play deserved.
“We must not give Inter any space to play in and will work hard to close down their attacking play.”
With rival coach Walter Mazzarri starting his second season on the Nerazzurri bench, Iachini was asked to comment on how he has done so far.
“It’s Walter’s second season in charge now and he has had time to embed his philosophy and mentality on the group.
“I’m sure he is very pleased with the work the club has done on the transfer market and I think they can challenge for the Scudetto.”
